Shipping policy

Customers making online purchases may receive their merchandise using curbside pick-up or through Canada Post. Prior to online check out, please indicate which of these options you prefer. Chris James Kingston only ships orders within Canada and to the United States. Chris James Kingston is not responsible for deliveries to the United States that are delayed due to customs or border services. Investigating such delays is the customer’s responsibility.

Shipping Fees
When you choose Canada Post delivery, you will be charged a shipping fee. Oversize and overweight parcels may be subject to additional freight charges. The shipping fee for your order will appear on your online invoice prior to check out. If there is a discrepancy when shipping you will be contacted to approve or cancel the order.

Order Fulfillment and Tracking
Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for Chris James to process your order. Orders are shipped during business hours from Wednesday to Friday, holidays excluded. We strive to provide an accurate delivery timeline for your purchase but we cannot guarantee the arrival date. Once your order has been confirmed, processed and shipped, you will receive a notification by e-mail that will include tracking information. It may take 48 hours for your tracking number to be visible on the website of the shipping provider.

Taxes and Duties
According to the retail sales legislation in Ontario, Chris James Kingston charges the appropriate GST, HST and provincial sales tax on all Canadian orders. All Canadian customers have to pay GST or HST as follows: Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan 5%; Ontario, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland 13%; Prince Edward Island 14% and Nova Scotia 15%.

Sales tax are not applicable to orders shipped to the United States.

Any duty, custom fees, brokerage charges or additional taxes incurred for cross-border purchases are the responsibility of the customer when receiving the item.

Damaged Orders
Before your merchandise is shipped, we ensure that your items are in good condition and packed with care to protect them against damage. If your package arrives damaged, we recommend that you accept the delivery. Before you open the package, however, please take photographs of the exterior illustrating the damage with notes of any other observations regarding condition. Then contact Chris James at to rectify the situation.
